1. Provision of technical expertise in the field of medical entomology at the regional level.
2. Planning and implementation of entomological activities with the scope of outbreak prediction and vector borne disease control.
3. Involvement in arthropod borne disease control activities.
4. Ensuring the quality of entomological activities.
5. Planning and carrying out training programs for relevant groups on vector surveillance and vector control according to the national guidelines.
6. Sharing local level technical experience to facilitate planning national policies.
7. Updating techniques/methodologies/guidelines of vector surveillance and control in parallel with the new scientific developments in the world
8. Planning and implementing innovative research to assess diseases risk and activate control measures
